Here at George Nahas Chevrolet, we believe in spreading holiday cheer throughout the community. We make a point year after year to find ways to help our neighbors in need. During the holiday season, that means playing a part in the local Toys for Tots drive organized by the Village Vettes Corvette Club. Toys for Tots is one of the most well-known charity events across the country, helping parents in need get gifts for their children in the holiday season. Toys for Tots drive events across the nation bring in thousands of gifts and millions of dollars.

The local Toys for Tots drive in The Villages area played a big part in the nationwide effort. George Nahas Chevrolet's generous customers and neighbors contributed toy and cash donations throughout the holiday season. Then, when the drive was complete, we participated in the final caravan to deliver the donations to Colonel Phillip C. DeLong Detachment 1267 of the Marine Corps League.

On the day of the caravan, members of the Village Vettes Corvette Club, along with the Village Nomads and American Legion Riders met at our dealership to share a cup of coffee and prepare for the caravan. More than 40 Corvettes and 30 motorcycles left the dealership and proceeded through town, with the help of the Sumter and Lake County law enforcement, to make the delivery of more than 1,600 toys and $20,000! Thank you to the many generous contributors, organizers and volunteers.

Though the holiday season has come to an end, we're already looking forward to next year's Toy's for Tots drive. It's just one way that we can give back to our valued Florida communities.
